Private Birthing Rooms

The birth of a child is always a special time for parents, grandparents and siblings. Our birthing rooms were designed with families in mind. Each room is spacious, private and comfortably furnished to create a welcoming atmosphere. Maternity patients will remain in the same room during labor, delivery and the recovery period, unless the delivery is by cesarean section. Many times you will have the same nurses during your stay. Most obstetrics patients will stay one or two nights, unless delivery is by c-section.

The patient's spouse or significant other is welcome to remain in the room during labor, and overnight stay with mother and baby is encouraged. Visiting hours are not restricted in the maternity wing, however please keep in mind that mothers need rest and time to bond with their newborn after giving birth. Brothers and sisters, even children under 12, are welcome to visit mom and baby. Please keep in mind that newborns are very susceptible to diseases and infections, therefore any sick children with coughs, colds or other illnesses should not be brought into the Maternity wing.
