Dr. Matthew Windrow is a Hondo native who returned to his hometown to practice medicine after completing his medical training. He obtained his medical degree from Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock and completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital.

JPSH is known throughout the country for its Family Practice program, which prepares physicians to serve patients of all ages in rural communities. Dr. Windrow began his Hondo practice in 1999. His practice includes general Family Practice as well as obstetrics at the Hondo and Devine Medical Clinics. He and his wife Shannon have two children and are very involved in the Hondo community.
