On March 22, 2010 the Medina Healthcare System welcomed its new CEO, Mr. Jerry Jasper. Prior to taking the top position with the Medina County Hospital District, he was the CEO of the Hansford County Hospital District in Spearman, Texas. Spearman is located in the Panhandle near the Texas-Oklahoma border. He has also served as a hospital administrator at facilities in Amarillo and Houston. Jerry received his MBA from Wayland Baptist University.

"Thanks to the hard work done before me, the Medina Healthcare System is poised to do great things that will benefit the county for many years to come," said Mr. Jasper. "My vision and hope is to help Medina County realize the value of this hospital, see where we need to grow in the different specialties, and help the county utilize the services that we offer here."
