The Medina Community Hospital Auxiliary, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, has been raising funds through gift shop sales and charity ball fundraisers for over 17 years. The Auxiliary has provided over $235,000 in equipment and services to the Hospital since opening the gift shop in 1987. The next Auxiliary Gala will be held on March 25, 2006.
The Auxiliary sells a variety of items in the gift shop, including flower arrangements, hand-made afghans, candy, gift sets for newborns and new mothers, and small, unique gifts for birthdays, showers and last-minute gifts. The gift shop is run entirely by volunteers with 100% of the proceeds used for hospital equipment purchases.
