The Honorable Jim Barden, Medina County Judge, administered the Oath of Office to the seven elected board members for the Medina County Hospital District. The Directors were elected May 8th and sworn into office at the next regular session of the Board May 24, 2010. Directors Judy Winkler and Tony Johnson, elected from Precincts 1 and 3, will serve two year terms. Directors Tim Hardt and Bill Bain elected from Precincts 2 and 4 will serve initial terms of one year. The At-Large Directors drew lots at Monday night’s meeting to determine that Directors Dr. Carlton Young and Rita Vance will serve two year terms and Director Steve Hackebeil will serve an initial one year term.

At its first meeting, the Board elected Dr. Carlton E. Young for the office of President, Mr. Steve Hackebeil, the office of Vice President and Mrs. Judy Winkler for the office of Secretary of the Board.

Members of the Board of Directors are volunteers and do not receive any compensation for their service. "We appreciate their enormous commitment of time and effort in serving the needs of our Medina Healthcare System as well as their dedication to ensuring quality healthcare for all the citizens of Medina County, " said CEO Jerry Jasper
