Medina Healthcare Fund
The Medina Healthcare Fund was established on June 6, 2003 as a 501(c)3 organization to promote healthcare in Hondo and Medina County. Funds raised by the organization have been used to pay for renovations to existing healthcare facilities, new building projects, equipment purchases, programs and services at Medina Regional Hospital and its affiliated clinics. The Board consists of volunteers from Hondo, Devine, Castroville and D’Hanis who are dedicated to raising the funds needed to maintain a strong healthcare system for their communities.
The residents of Medina and surrounding counties benefit from having a strong, viable hospital that provides a variety of healthcare services locally, and contributes to economic development within the county. Donate to the Annual Needs of Medina Healthcare System:
The Medina Healthcare Fund has been successful in obtaining grant funding from local and regional foundations to match the funds raised locally. These strategic donations are matched through the generosity of the community. Annual fund donations help the Medina Healthcare Fund leverage larger funding and ultimately help raise the quality of care available at Medina Regional Hospital. As a result Medina Healthcare System has received numerous awards for quality of care, and recognition by national hospital regulatory agencies for high standards of patient care and satisfaction.

The giving tree located in the lobby of the Medina Healthcare System boasts several donations that recognize a gift given in honor of someone special or in memory of a loved one—it’s a wonderful way to recognize the people in your life and to support a worthy cause.
All gifts of $100 or more are recognized on the donor tree in the hospital lobby. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
