Hip, hip hooray!

“I’d definitely recommend Medina Regional Hospital to anyone needing physical therapy,” says Peggy Wiemers, of Hondo. Wiemers had knee replacement surgery this summer and says that she is now able to do the things she couldn’t before—walking in the evenings, working in the yard, climbing stairs and even housework. All of these activities caused her pain before surgery.

Wiemers spent four days in the hospital and then had two weeks of rehabilitation with home health before she began her outpatient physical therapy at Medina Regional.

“The staff is very good. They are caring, and they make sure you are not in any pain. At the same time, they push you to finish the exercises and make sure you are doing them properly. My appointments were always on time, and the staff was always cheerful. They made sure I was comfortable at each session. After five weeks of therapy, I’m very happy to be able to do the things I couldn’t before.”
