Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans and directs development activities for hospital and clinic services, or ideologies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Identifies, in conjunction with marketing and facility management, promising areas of research or technology that address unmet needs and have large potential markets.

Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds, or allocates funds from department budget.

Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project.

Negotiates collaborations with academia, government, and corporations.

Act as a Physician liaison to physicians in Medina County and surrounding counties.

Coordinate strategic planning activities for the hospital and clinics.

Physician recruitment.

Assist with fundraising activities, planning, marketing and advertising for hospital and clinic special events.

Present hospital presentations to community groups to increase awareness in the community.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or the completion of one or more post-secondary courses. Experience with the financial management, oversight, and monitoring complex budgets and contracts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. Minimum of two years experience in Community Relations required.
