Summary: The Material Management Clerk is responsible for assuring all supplies are inventoried, received and distributed in accordance with proper and prudent practices by efficient and productive means.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Receives and delivers and /or shelves all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy of shipments, noting damage or shortages. Route packing slips to appropriate personnel.
-Prints & affixes charge stickers to incoming chargeable items
-Restock warehouse with incoming stock items, rotating new stock by expiration dates and delivering non-stock items to requisitioning departments.
-Print par level sheets for each patient care department and resupply their par levels on a daily basis, including maintaining the organization of the clinical departments’ stockroom.
-Pick and deliver stock orders from the warehouse inventory to the requisitioning department on scheduled par level restocking days.
-Performs weekly Warehouse Inventory Counts and identifies items needing to be reordered due to low stock on hand. Give to appropriate Staff to reorder.
-Reviews order forms, delivery requests and approval forms to ensure proper documentation, accuracy and on-time deliveries.
-In following up on receiving discrepancies, will communicate with vendors regarding backorders, order status, missing items, and product availability.
-Will make daily trip to Rural Health Clinics to deliver medical supplies and pickup specimens, local bank for daily deposits and local parcel drop off.
-Keeps the warehouse, staging and docking area clean and orderly at all times.
-Cross trains to be able to complete appropriated duties of other Materials Management employees in their absence.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and facility’s Materials Management software.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
